If you are amazed by what the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor of Qualcomm can do, maybe it’s time to get a load of its successor. A phone carrying the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has allegedly emerged on Geekbench, as spotted by GSMArena and MySmartPrice.
The new phone is benchmarked as Xiaomi 23117RK66C. Otherwise, Xiaomi remains silent about the upcoming Redmi K70 series, but the online realm keeps teeming with rumors and speculations.
The supposed appearance of the Xiaomi Redmi K70 Pro arrives with some of the key specs, and the details already look attractive.
Redmi K70 Pro features Android 14
Judging by the new leak, the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi K70 Pro comes equipped with Android 14, meaning the latest and the greatest version of Google’s mobile operating system. This means that as soon as you have the phone in your hand, there’s no use waiting for the latest Android update since it will already be there if the information is true.
The Geekbench results show 1100 single-core score points for the Xiaomi Redmi K70 Pro, and a number of 5150 multi-core score points. That’s pretty impressive, indeed!
Having 16GB of RAM on a smartphone would have surely sounded a bit absurd a few years ago, but it seems that Xiaomi will break that rule with its new Redmi K70 Pro. The phone has 16GB of RAM onboard. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will surely act as a powerhouse for the forthcoming phone as it’s based on an octa-core CPU that has a 1 + 2 + 5 configuration, and the prime core has a maximum clock frequency that reaches 3.19GHz.
Let’s not forget that the previous Redmi K60 Pro that launched last year was equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the previous processor. Therefore, there you go another reason to believe that the K70 Pro model will indeed feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The Redmi K60 Pro model also stood out for its 8K video recording capability, the 6.67-inch OLED display packed with 120Hz, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and more.
The main camera setup of the K60 Pro consists of a triple-lens setup. The wide lens is the most remarkable, as it reaches 54MP. The main camera features are panorama, HDR, and dual-LED dual tone flash.
In other words, it would be reasonable for the successor of the Redmi K60 Pro to be at least as good, but only time will tell for sure! Xiaomi will likely release the Redmi K70 Pro at some point in December, so you should start writing that letter to Santa Klaus already!
