Xiaomi is currently working on the Xiaomi 14 series, and there are strong reasons to be optimistic that it will be an outstanding lineup. Both the standard and the Pro models are expected to harness the powers of the top-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which means that the upcoming phones will compete with the latest and the greatest iPhones and Samsung devices.
Initially, the main expectation was that both the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro would launch in early 2024. If the information is true, we will see those phones on the stores’ shelves next year in March for the worst case scenario. But there’s fresh news coming from Digital Chat Station on Weibo that contradicts that information. The latter news will certainly delight many of those who don’t have patience in their list of virtues.
Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro will debut in early November
The new source indicates that Xiaomi will unveil its 14 series at some point in early November of this year. What’s interesting is that the announcement of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset by Qualcomm is scheduled for Oct. 24. This means that the first phones receiving the top-end chipset will be available after just a few days.
Xiaomi will also invest in the cameras of its upcoming flagship, as the Chinese tech giant understands the importance of this sector for anybody who buys a smartphone nowadays. Therefore, the Xiaomi 14 series will most probably flaunt a larger main camera sensor compared to its predecessor, Xiaomi 13. It’s a pretty safe bet to assume that the camera will reach 50MP.
Xiaomi will also build a pretty decent battery for its upcoming flagship series, as nobody likes to carry a charger around each time they leave the house. Therefore, the Xiaomi 14 will feature a 4,860mAh battery that reached 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. However, the bigger sibling, the Pro model, will be featuring a 5,000mAh battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Certainly, the Xiaomi 14 series’ price will be far from being as cheap as chips, and it’s safe to assume that such a phone will cost around $1,000.
If we take a look back at the near past, we can find out that the previous Xiaomi 13 series was launched in December 2022. Therefore, there you have another reason why the Chinese manufacturer would apply a similar strategy in the case of the 14 series as well. Xiaomi is usually known not to go off the track.
