In case you own an iPhone or iPad device and you have some problems with it, then there are in this article we will tell you how to solve them. Today, we’re going to tell you about the most common iOS problems, but we won’t leave you in the lurch, because we have solutions for them.
iOS devices are not perfect and they can be either slow, they may have a very poor battery life and issues when powering on.
Slow or Frozen User Interface
Do you feel that your iPhone or iPad is not running as smooth as it should? Well, go to Settings->General->Usage->Manage Storage. The devices are usually slowing down because the internal storage is getting filled and the system doesn’t have any free space to stock the temporary files. We suggest you to uninstall unused applications or delete old photos that you don’t need anymore. To delete an iOS application, just long press on it (while you are on the home screen) and select “Remove”.
We also suggest you to disable the parallax wallpaper. This is the feature that is adding animations to the background, making your home screen look like it’s moving when you tilt the phone. In order to disable the Parallax wallpaper, go to Settings->Accessibility and turn on “Reduce Motion Option”.
The screen freezes
In case your device is lagging and you notice that the screen is not responding to any command, don’t panic. There are a lot of ways to fix this issue and one of the easiest ways to fix it is by doing a simple restart. In case your phone is not answering at all, press and hold the power button + home key button at the same time until you notice the Apple logo. After that, the device will reboot and it will most likely fix the issue.
Battery issues
The battery life issue is one of the most common problems on all smartphones. Whether we’re talking about an Android or iOS devices, all of them have this problem, which can be fixed by following some simple steps.
First of all, you will need to disable the background application from updating, remove applications that you don’t use, but which are draining your device for no reason and change the location services.
The Background App Refresh option can be switched off by going to Settings->General->Background App Refresh. You can either disable this feature to all applications or disable it only for a specific application that you don’t use so frequently.
After that, go to Settings->Privacy->Location Services and choose System Services. Some of the options that you will find here are designed to improve your experience, but which can actually eat a lot of battery. We recommend you to disable the Location-Based iAds, Frequent Location and Popular Near Me.
In order to see which applications are consuming your battery, you can go to General->Usage->Battery Usage and see which applications are “drinking” the juice.
Connectivity issues
There are a lot of users who have problems when trying to connect their devices to a Wi-Fi network, cellular network or Bluetooth. Well, in case you have the same issues, you can try to fix them by enabling the Airplane mode for 30 seconds and after that, to disable it and try again to connect your device to Wi-Fi, cellular network or Bluetooth.
In case this doesn’t fix the problem, you can try setting your Wi-Fi network and Bluetooth once again by going to Settings->General->Reset->Reset Network Settings.
Failing to send text messages
In case you have issues with sending iMessage app or sending text message, make sure that you are connected on the internet via cellular or Wi-Fi network. After that, tap on the red exclamation point next to the message and select “try again”. In case this doesn’t fix the issue, you will need to force restart the device by holding the Power + Home buttons.
Syncing issues
Syncing issues can be quite annoying. First of all, you will need to make sure that you are connected to the internet via the data mobile connection or a Wi-Fi network. After that, check to see if the internet is working by opening a webpage or an application that uses the internet connection (such as Facebook or Twitter).
In case the internet connection is working and you still have syncing issues, make sure that you have the latest iOS version installed. In order to check if you have installed the latest software update available, go to Settings->General->Software Update.
App Crashes
If you’ve noticed that an application is randomly crashing, you should check out if you have installed the latest version of that specific application. To make sure that the applications which you have installed on your iOS device are auto-updating themselves, go to Settings->iTunes & App Store and toggle “Updates” switch to on.
