Rugged smartphones are more and more necessary nowadays when we can’t leave the house without taking our mini-computers with us. Oukitel is one of the companies that know that lesson very well, and now the Chinese brand is preparing for the launch of its Oukitel WP21 rugged smartphone.
Thanks to NOTEBOOKCHECH, we already have a lot of information regarding the upcoming Oukitel WP21 smartphone, and we must say that the device is pretty impressive. Oukitel itself has revealed the smartphone, so there’s no room for doubt regarding its mere existence.
A 9,800mAh battery
Even though smartphones having two displays don’t represent anything new, you might be impressed by what the Outkitel WP21 model has in store for the world. By far, the ‘star of the show’ is the insanely-powerful battery that the upcoming phone will carry: one that reaches 9,800mAh. The fast 66W charging also makes a ‘good team’ with the battery.
Oukitel WP21 will feature two displays, and the one mounted on the rear somewhat acts as a support for the camera. The main sensor reaches 64MP, which is not bad at all for a future phone. A Night Vision Camera from Sony is also mounted there. One of the latest 4G/LTE-only processors of MediaTek will power the smartphone, meaning the MediaTek Helio G99.
Thanks to Oukitel itself, there’s even a presentation video of the company’s upcoming phone, and you can see it below:
Being a rugged phone, it also shouldn’t surprise anyone that Oukitel WP21 is also resistant to water. It reaches an IP68-rated resistance, which is always an important feature for a smartphone.
While we still need to find out more about the purpose of the rear display, the main one is pretty exciting. It measures 6.78 inches, and it reaches a refresh rate of 120Hz. As for the resolution, it’s FHD+.
There will be a single RAM and storage option for Oukitel’s next phone, but that’s probably all that you need if you decide to buy the device: 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. There’s no confirmation of a memory card slot existing on the phone as well, but again, you probably won’t even need one.
In case you’re one of those folks who need two phone numbers on the same device, Oukitel has it covered for you in this area as well! The WP21 model is also dual SIM, which means that it can grant a lot of hope for those who like to kill two birds with one stone.
We can expect the Oukitel WP21 device to go on sale starting in just three days. If you want to get your hands on it, you’ll have to invest around $300.
