As the whole tech world was expecting, Apple released the iPhone 14 lineup back in September. Every year around September/October, the tech giant from Cupertino releases new flagship iPhones, and it’s hard to believe that the famous company won’t follow suit in 2023 as well. There are plenty of hints that the iPhone 15 is on its way, and there’s already some exciting information available!
According to PhoneArena, there are some leaks indicating that Apple’s upcoming iPhone 15 Ultra will mean the end of the road for the premium 6.1-inch iPhones. In other words, there will be no more compact and powerful iPhones. While many will perceive it as a tragedy, it can actually be a natural turn of events in a world where displays become larger and larger. It’s the same world where, most probably, foldable devices such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 or the Huawei Mate Xs 2 will represent new standards when it comes to smartphones.
What exactly is the iPhone 15 Ultra?
iPhone 15 Ultra will be the best device from the upcoming iPhone 15 lineup that Apple will release in late 2023. Surely the term ‘Ultra’ represents a premiere for iPhones, and it will, most probably, bring some very exciting new features. The jump from iPhone 13 to iPhone 14, by comparison, was also pretty significant. Apple introduced some interesting new features along with the release of the iPhone 14 lineup. We can mention here the crash detection system, which is very useful and life-saving, literally speaking! If the user goes through a crash, his iPhone will automatically dial the emergency service to ask for help.
Probably the main highlight when it comes to the iPhone 14 is represented by the presence of the A16 Bionic chipset, meaning a significantly superior processor compared to the one that was mounted on the previous iPhone 13. It’s also likely the best processor that currently exists for smartphones. It wouldn’t be naive to believe that Apple will try to release an even better processor and add it to the iPhone 15 lineup.
The standard iPhone 14 of the new flagship lineup of Apple has a display that measures only 6.1 inches. Surely that doesn’t mean that we’re talking about a weak phone – on the contrary! But if the release of the iPhone 15 will indeed mean the end of powerful and compact iPhones, devices like the standard iPhone 14 will be left out of the equation.
The lowest price of a phone from the new iPhone 14 lineup is placed somewhere around $630, while the most expensive one is likely to cost about $1,100. Surely the prices for the upcoming iPhone 15 will also be pretty high.
