We’re less than two weeks away until Apple will release its iPhone 14 flagship lineup to the world. The Cupertino-based tech behemoth confirmed that it’s launching the new iPhone 14 models on September 7, 2022. The big launch is expected to take place during an in-person event at the Steve Jobs Theater from the Cupertino campus, as The Verge reveals.
Perhaps everybody has an overview idea by now about what to expect from the upcoming iPhone 14 lineup: the implementation of Apple’s latest A16 Bionic chipset that’s capable of some of the fastest processing speeds, the presence of iOS 16, and various improvements for the cameras. But surely, there are new things to learn about the iPhone 14 even now.
iPhone 14 Pro won’t have a notch
According to Forbes, a multitude of leaks confirm that the new iPhone 14 Pro model will lack the well-known notch. This is great news if it will be confirmed 100% accurate on September 7! Users would have more room on the screen for photos and videos. Trusted tipster DuanRui shared the photos of the notch-less iPhone 14 on Twitter, revealing that the old design is getting replaced by one featuring a dual-punch hole.
You know what they say that you can’t judge a book by its cover. But even so, having a new iPhone with the exact color you want can surely grant you a great vibe throughout the day! Why not have both quality and good looks in the same product?
The new iPhone 14 Pro will come in two new colors
A new post coming from Sleepy Afternoon via Weibo and seen by Tom’s Guide reveals five color variants for the iPhone 14 Pro as you can see in the above image.
The two new colors have indeed already conquered the sight of some Apple fans – the Purple and Blue versions, of course. The other three colors, meaning Silver, Graphite, and Gold, also look nice, but they were seen before on other iPhones.
Since so many people are interested in vlogging nowadays, having powerful cameras mounted on the front of the phone is a ‘must.’ Apple knows that very well, which is why it will most probably add upgraded front cameras for all four of the new iPhone 14 models. The improvements will include autofocus capabilities, as well as a wider f/1.9 aperture.
While there’s no official news yet regarding the prices for the iPhone 14 lineup, one thing’s for sure: you can’t expect the new iPhone to be cheaper than its predecessor iPhone 13. It’s a flagship to the core, and based on some sources, including Dan Evans from Wedbush Securities, at least one of the upcoming iPhone 14 models could have an increased price of £100 / $100.
But let’s assume that the information regarding the price increase is correct (and it should be, considering the current economic situation that’s far from being all fine and dandy and for reasons that we’re all aware of).
Therefore, the iPhone 14 Pro Max should have a starting price of about $1199, and the iPhone 14 Max version would be priced at $899. The other two new iPhone 14 models shouldn’t have starting prices that are too far from those amounts.
