We’ve spoken about the new iOS 16.2 update before, but now it’s time to get a closer look at the patch notes! At first glance, the new iOS version definitely not comes empty-handed, and a lot of iPhone users will be delighted. Thanks to NextPit, we can now find out about the new update’s patch notes!
Apple will roll out iOS 16.2 in several days
Since the Cupertino-based giant is expected to begin rolling out its new iOS 16 update around mid-December, it means we’re just a few days away from the release. The update is surely coming until the end of 2022, so it’s definitely a good idea to stay alert and keep your eyes on your iPhone if you own such a device!
What’s new in iOS 16.2
New features will come along with the new iOS 16.2, and each of them has the potential to make your life more exciting. Let’s find out more:
The Freeform app
Freeform is a new canvas app that iPhone owners will get to use for drawing or adding documents, files, and more. It’s also considered a collaboration app, which means that teamwork will be crucial in achieving full effectiveness. If you’re not comfortable with using Freeform on your iPhone, you can also try it out from a tablet and by using a stylus.
Apple Music Sing brings the karaoke star out of you!
Apple also has the Apple Music Sing app in store for its new iOS 16.2 update. As its moniker suggests, the tool allows the user to practice his singing more karaoke-style. The app offers access to tens of millions of songs that users can sing, which means that it’s practically impossible not to find your favorite music there as well! Apple Music Sing also brings powerful karaoke features such as backing vocals, duets, and more.
Fixes for the Crash Detection System
Apple engineers had been very proud of the new Crash Detection System that exists on iPhone 14 devices. It’s a truly life-saving feature that allows the iPhone to automatically call emergency services if the owner has been through a car crash. But unfortunately, the iPhone 14 can sometimes misunderstand such a situation. Going on a rollercoaster ride with an iPhone 14 in your pocket, for instance, could make the device falsely perceive that you’re going through an accident and reach emergency services by default. But thanks to the new iOS 16.2 update, we can hope that the problem has gone away.
Advanced Data Protection granting better security
End-to-end encryption is something that everybody loves, as it assures people that nobody is looking at their stuff. Such encryption offered by iCloud is now covering more apps built by Apple due to the new iOS update.
The full list of patch notes is even larger, but the main changes that iOS 16.2 brings are covered here. Feel free to tell us what you think!
