How to import/export Bookmarks from Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox: A week before, one of my friend asked me to share my Bookmarks list with him. I was, at first, could not think of a procedure to export my bookmark list to him. Then, I researched over it and came up with a successful result. So, here I am with my experience of How to import/export Bookmarks from Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox.

If you have got your bookmarks stashed in a browser, and you want to import/export Bookmarks from Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, then you have come to the right place. You can easily import bookmarks into Google chrome or Mozilla Firefox via HTML file and similarly export it via HTML file. The bookmark Manager of the browser would help you out in converting your bookmark list to a HTML file. So, here is a step-by-step tutorial guide of How to import/export Bookmarks from Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox.

How to import/export Bookmarks from Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox:

Follow the below methods to import/export Bookmarks from Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox as per your need.

Export Bookmarks:

Export Bookmarks from Google Chrome:

Step 1: Click on the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.

Step 2: Select Bookmarks.

Step 3: Select Bookmark Manager.

Step 4: Click on the Organize menu in the manager .

Step 5: Select Export Bookmarks.

Google Chrome would export your Bookmarks as a HTML File, which you can import into another browser.

That’s it. You’re done. You have successfully exported Bookmarks from Google Chrome.

Import Bookmarks:

Import Bookmarks from Firefox or Internet Explorer to Google Chrome:

Google Chrome provides a direct interface to import bookmarks from Firefox or Internet Explorer on the same device. Follow the below steps to import it.

Step 1: Click on the Chrome menu.

Step 2: Select Bookmarks.

Step 3: Select Import Bookmarks and Settings.

Step 4: Select the program that contains the bookmarks you would like to import.

Step 5: Click on import.

If you have never created any bookmarks in chrome, then you will find your imported bookmark directly on the Bookmarks bar, underneath the address bar. If you have already created your own bookmarks, then the imported bookmark will show up in a new folder called “Imported from Firefox” or “Imported from IE”, at the end of the bar. You could also find the bookmarks by clicking on the Chrome menu and selecting Bookmarks.

That’s it. You’re done. You have successfully imported Bookmarks from Firefox or Internet Exploerer.

Import Bookmarks from Google Toolbar:

Step 1: Go to https://www.google.com/bookmarks .

Step 2: Sign in with the same Google Account used to sign in to Google Toolbar.

Step 3: Find and select “Export Bookmarks” on the homepage. The bookmarks will be downloaded as a html file.

Step 4: Now, Click on the Chrome menu.

Step 5: Select Bookmarks.

Step 6: Select Bookmark Manager.

Step 7: Click the Organize menu in the manager.

Step 8: Select Import Bookmarks from HTML File.

Step 9: Open the saved HTML file.

That’s it. You’re done. You have successfully imported Bookmarks from Google Toolbar.

Import Bookmarks from other devices where you use Chrome:

If your Bookmarks are stored on Google Chrome on another computer, and you want to import it. Then, you can do the same via two methods. follow any one which suits you best.

– Method 1:

Step 1: Sign in to Chrome on both computers.

Step 2: Sync the bookmarks to your account.

Step 3: Now, automatically, the bookmarks would be imported to the browser.

That’s it. You’re done. You have successfully imported Bookmarks from Google Chrome and other device.

– Method 2:

Step 1: At first, export Bookmarks as a HTML file from the former browser.

Step 2: Now, Copy and save the file into the later device in which you want to import the bookmarks.

Step 3: Now, Click on the Chrome menu.

Step 4: Select Bookmarks.

Step 5: Select Bookmark Manager.

Step 6: Click the Organize menu in the manager.

Step 7: Select Import Bookmarks from HTML File.

Step 8: Open the saved HTML file.

That’s it. You’re done. You have successfully imported Bookmarks from Google Chrome and other device.
