After using the Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro Smart Watch, I honestly think Huawei has found a really good balance between fitness tracking and everyday smartwatch features.
A lot of watches either go too far into “serious athlete” territory or feel more like notification screens for your phone. The Watch Fit 5 Pro sits somewhere nicely in the middle. It feels premium without being bulky, and it actually focuses on the stuff most people use every day.
The first thing I noticed was the screen.
Huawei has fitted this with a 1.92-inch AMOLED display that can hit up to 3,000 nits brightness, and it’s ridiculously easy to see outdoors. Even in direct sunlight, everything still looks sharp and colourful. The thinner bezels and sapphire glass also make it feel more expensive than the price suggests.
The design definitely gives Apple Watch vibes, but not in a bad way. The titanium alloy bezel and slim body make it feel sleek rather than cheap, and at around 30g, it’s light enough to wear all day without noticing it much.
What surprised me most was the battery life.
I’m used to smartwatches dying after a day or two, especially if GPS tracking is enabled, but this comfortably lasted me nearly a full week with notifications, workouts, sleep tracking, and heart-rate monitoring switched on. Huawei says it can last up to 10 days with lighter use, which honestly feels believable.

Fitness tracking is where this watch really pushes itself as a proper premium wearable.
You get over 100 workout modes, dual-band GPS, ECG monitoring, sleep tracking, stress monitoring, skin temperature tracking, blood oxygen monitoring, and even arterial stiffness detection. For most people, that’s more health data than they’ll ever realistically need.
I mainly tested it during walks, gym sessions, and a few outdoor runs. Heart-rate tracking seemed accurate enough for everyday fitness use, and GPS tracking was mostly solid, although some reviewers have mentioned it can occasionally drift slightly in busy urban areas.
One thing Huawei still hasn’t fully caught up on is Apps.
The software itself is smooth and responsive, notifications work well, and Bluetooth calling is genuinely useful, but the app ecosystem still isn’t as strong as Apple or Samsung. If you rely heavily on smartwatch Apps, you’ll probably notice the difference. But if your priorities are battery life, fitness tracking, and comfort, it matters a lot less.

Price
The Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro currently starts at around £249.99 in the UK, you can get the Huawei Watch Fit 5 from £159.99 but with less features than the Pro.
For what you’re getting, it actually feels pretty competitive.
You’re getting premium materials, strong battery life, advanced health features, and a watch that feels far more polished than a lot of fitness trackers in this price range.
It’s not perfect, and it probably won’t replace an Apple Watch for people deeply invested in Apple’s ecosystem, but for fitness, comfort, battery life, and everyday use, this is easily one of Huawei’s best smartwatches so far.
