Are you planning to go to a place where you don’t have an internet connection? Do you want to be able to visit a website while being offline? Well, then you’re in the right place, as today we’re going to teach you how to save an entire website so that you can explore it while being offline.
How to download an entire website so that you can access it while being offline
Today we’re going to tell you about four applications that can save entire websites with just a few clicks.
Getleft
Getleft is a website grabber and it downloads the entire website according to the option you set on it. Once you launch the application, press CTRL+U and enter the URL of the website that you want to save. Before the application starts downloading the website, you will have to choose what files you want to be downloaded. Once the application finishes downloading the website, you will see all the files saved on your local hard disk.
HTTrack
HTTrack is a free application that’s very easy to use and can help you save entire websites. Even if it doesn’t come with a modern interface, the application is very useful and it suggests you what files you should avoid downloading and what files can be downloaded without any problems.
In case a specific file is taking too long to download, you can always skip downloading it.
PageNest
The PageNest application is a combination of Getleft and HTTrack. In order to download a website, you will need to enter the link in the address tab of the application. After that, you will need to set the name of the website and where you want to save it.
You will be able to select some other few options and finally select if the files that are not under the selected domain should be downloaded or not on your local hard disk. Once the website is saved, you will be able to access it while offline.
Cyotek WebCopy
Cyotek WebCopy is another free tool that you can use to copy an entire website to your local hard disk. Cyotek WebCopy will start scanning the specified website and once it finishes the scanning process, will start downloading the page’s content to your local hard disk. All the images, pages and style sheets that are hosted by the website will be revamped so that they will match the local hard disk path. If you don’t want to copy the entire website, you can also set which part of the website you want to be copied.
