If there’s one thing we know for sure about GTA 6, it’s that the pressure from the fans is unfathomable. What do we mean by that? Simple: GTA 5 has been a blockbuster, and it deserves its place in the Hall of Fame of the gaming world. It’s one of the top 3 best-selling games in history and for good reasons. It can only be logical that the fans expect even more from the long-awaited and upcoming GTA 6.
While Trevor, Michael, and Franklin each have their own particularities and individual traits, we can expect something similar from GTA 6 as well. The future game will also have more than one protagonist character, and a female character will also be among them. The fans hope for more advanced cars, more customization options, more enterable buildings, a bigger map, and so on.
While there are also countless rumors and speculations on the internet about how GTA 6 will and will not be, the good news is that Take-Two has something to say on the matter through the voice of its CEO, Strauss Zelnick.
GTA 6 “needs to be something you’ve never seen before”
VideoGamer.com reveals an exciting interview with Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two. To be more precise, the Take-Two CEO has spoken to hosts Aarthi and Sriram of the Good Time Show podcast, and here’s a very important statement that he released:
“I think that’s a challenge the folks at Rockstar face every time there’s a new iteration of Grand Theft Auto. It needs to be something you’ve never seen before on one hand, and it needs to reflect the feeling that we have about Grand Theft Auto, and that’s a big challenge for the team.”
The statement clearly emphasizes that the guys from Rockstar are eager to bring the best of what they can possibly come up with when it comes to GTA 6. Who knows, maybe the future game will be focusing on some of the most burning topics that have taken place in our society in recent years, such as the COVID pandemic and its restrictions, the current economic crisis, climate change, and so on. That would be fun, right?
Zelnick also added:
“Now, Rockstar’s answer is just to seek perfection,”
“Seek nothing short of perfection, and we’ll get there.”
“In the entertainment business we adopt our hits. They’re a part of us, they’re a part of our family and we have a great affinity for them and we take it personally if people screw around with them. It’s not okay if the creators make a choice that is inconsistent with how we think these hits should be developed.”
Take-Two is none other than the parent company of Rockstar Games, which means that we need to take Zelnick’s claims as seriously as possible.
