After the launch of the latest and the greatest iPhone 15 lineup, Apple doesn’t seem to take any breaks. The renowned Cupertino-based company is now working on two new AirPod models that will come out at some point next year. The news comes from a report by Mark Gurman via Bloomberg, and as GSMArena has discovered.
If the information is true, it means that the new AirPods will be placed below the AirPods 2 with USB-C. Luckily for many of us, Apple is one of those companies that have understood very well that design is very important for tech products. As a result, the upcoming AirPods will both feature an open-fit design similar to the one of the AirPods 3.
AirPods 4 will feature noise cancellation
We all know that unpleasant feeling when you want to listen to music, but a dog barking or the vacuum cleaner of your beloved neighbor ruins your experience. Apple has also thought about such scenarios, and it now comes with a solution. At least one of the models of the upcoming AirPods 4 will come equipped with the noise cancellation feature in order to make you get rid of any background noise as you use the headphones.
As you’ve probably already guessed, we’re talking about the fourth-generation AirPods (aka AirPods 4), and we still have a lot to learn about their capabilities. However, everything will become a lot clearer in the next months, as we can expect Apple to gradually reveal more information about AirPods 4.
What are the shortcomings of AirPods 3?
Although nobody can deny that the AirPods 3 headphones, which came out two years ago, are pretty impressive, we also have to recognize their potential flaws that could make users make the shift to AirPods 4. AirPods 3 offers six hours of battery life. While that was clearly an improvement in 2021 compared to the previous AirPods, but even so, the fans of Apple are hard to please. And you know what? Perhaps the personalized spatial audio with dynamic head tracking is the best feature of the AirPods 3, and we can certainly expect Apple to apply it as well in the case of the upcoming fourth generation of its AirPods.
AirPods 3 were priced at $179 at their launch, which could be an indication that Apple will demand a bit more from the successor headphones.
